Abstract
::
My name is Brandon Swafford and I exited from the womb
into this world on June 15, 1984. I've always had an intrigue
and curiosity for the design of things. As young as
5 years old, I began to take apart my toys and see what
made them tick on the inside. I was a diligent 8-year old in my uncle's wood
shop slaving away at scroll saws, lathes, sanders, and
other power/manual tools to create my latest desires:
bows and arrows, ukulele guitars, puzzles, animal carvings,
etc. On into the high school years, I established several
entrepreneurial startups, the two most notable being
BMXPLOSIVE, a BMX racing apparel and accessory company,
and Swaff Solutions, a turn key web development business
for those needing websites. As a Design Student at the
Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA, I
studied Industrial Design for 4 years as well as Management and Marketing.

Personal
::
I'm a student at the Georgia
Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) and have
been since Fall 2002. The most important thing in my
life in my relationship with Jesus Christ. He is my
Lord and Savior and keeps me going when things get tough.
I enjoy music: singing, writing, playing, and recording.
Other interests include graphic and web design, movie quoting,
sports, etc. Rather than going out with 800 people,
I would rather just chill and hang out with 3 or 4,
or even less, people.
I used to race BMX across the nation,
but had to give it up when I came to college. In my
spare time, I still try to get out to the race track
to socialize with old friends and keep in shape. Other sports I enjoy
are basketball, golf, tennis, baseball, and full contact 21.
As far as my personality,
I'm pretty laid back. I like to just take things easy,
make things fun, and try not to worry. I have a very
dry sense of humor. I get a lot of joy out of making
people laugh and also by doing things for them they
probably wouldn't expect. I'm a big believer that it's
better to give than receive.
